General
The highly advanced RME ADI-6432 Redundant 64-channel converter seamlessly transforms MADI signals into AES and back again, and comes equipped with both BNC MADI ports and 32 AES/EBU inputs and outputs divided over eight D-sub ports. This converter is easy coupled with various RME MADI interface cards and two ADI-6432R units can be combined to serve as a digital multicore.
The Redundant Edition
The RME ADI-6432 Redundant supports sixty-four channels, each backed up by 24-bit audio with a 48kHz sample rate; a 96kHz sample rate at thirty-two channels; and 192kHz at sixteen channels. Thanks to the MADI format, every channel can securely bridge a distance of more than 100 metres via two optical or coaxial cables and, while the Redundant edition is virtually identical to the RME ADI - 6432R when it comes to features, this variant boasts two independent electrical circuits so that, if one circuit happens to drop out, the Redundant will carry on uninterrupted.
